MAYORS GALA

We had such a nice day planned today a bluebell walk and a pub lunch but things had to be put on hold. The weather also wasn’t playing game!!!

Up to Mums for an 11:30 chair delivery…at 12:30 he said it’d be another 2 hours!!! I persuaded him to swap his order and come to us next. He agreed. Such a lovely guy.

We did manage to get a pub lunch in but then The Rev was exhausted so we went home for a nap before 2 of his work colleagues arrived. Lots of support, sobs and tears and telling off ( for The Rev not me!!). Another snooze and then on to this…

#the Mayor Gala dinner. The Rev had been invited weeks ago as a special guest and to say Grace and make a speech. The current Mayor is a long term friend and he desperately wanted to go. After a few strong words from me and Sister Sheila he agreed to go for just a short time. He managed both tasks and we had a lovely meal, we were glad to get home and into bed.
wish the Rev had remembered it was a black tie event…he was fine in his Rev gear…I looked like I was popping out to Tescos!!!!well I had a sparkly top on luckily!!!
