Peacock Butterfly

An unexpected trip out to Aberfoyle today and the bonus was the wonderful weather ..... warm enough for two layers instead of the usual three.

I took Keta out to Lochan Spling for a lengthy walk while Morna had some business to attend to.  Parked the car in my usual spot on the forest walk and just as I was getting Keta out of the car I spotted the butterfly landing on the dirt path and fortunately it stayed put enjoying the sunshine allowing me time to get my camera out.

Once the sun disappeared it quickly became quite chilly and my fleece was back on again.
