Bluebell bud
With guests coming in part way through the week we took the opportunity to get some more jobs done at the Lodge. Despite having no broad leaved trees the site ends up every autumn with drifts of leaves. Theses make good habitat for over wintering insects etc. So one of the jobs was to clear those up.
The blip is a shot of one of the Bluebell that are starting to open. I wasn't expecting much from them this year as a few weeks ago they were absolutely flattened, by what or whom we don't know. It seems the flowers can't have started to grow at that point so only the leaves were damaged.
