Happy new owner...

...of a 2011 Skoda Superb next to his car. Jussi bought the car in a web auction last weekend and now it was time to bring it home.

Not a short day trip, as it was across the country in Lappeenranta, 333 kilometres from home. Over four hours driving each way, with lunch break on the way there, and three breaks on the way back, one for refueling, another for coffee etc. and I had one at the Vehoniemi car museum while Jussi and his friend stopped in another place.

The car isn't exactly in great condition, but not bad either and Jussi already has a list of things to check, fix and service. Luckily he has the education for that sort of thing!

In Vehoniemi I had a quick look at the collection and model cars for sale. In the extra however are the twelve Japanese "cube cars" parked outside. Obviously the owners had a meeting there. Most of these (if any) are official imports, as the models have been mostly Japan only. They left before me, and driving quite slowly, they blocked the road before Tampere until reaching the four-lane part.
