Spanish Dagger Yucca Flower

(Yucca recurvifolia)

One of my yard yuccas is flowering this week. The top of the flower stalk , including the plant. is about 8 feet tall now and is continuing to grow. By this time next week it might reach 9 or 10 feet. It is pollenated during the day by bees and hummingbirds. At night moths and bats have a go at it.
