From tiny acorns......

We had a walk with friends through a bluebell wood planned for this morning but in view of the weather we postponed until Tuesday when it is looking much more promising.  So instead, we have had a thoroughly lazy day which included my watching an old Marx Brothers film this afternoon, 'A Night in Casablanca'.  Far from their best, but still amusing in places.

Pretty much the only time I set foot outdoors was to empty the bin when I spotted these.  Two acorns that I picked up in the autumn of 2022 and planted in a pot.  To be honest, I'd forgotten about them but they seem to be thriving.  I may split them soon and put them in separate pots and eventually, plant them out into the back garden.  There isn't really room for a large oak tree there but I reckon that by the time they get too big it will be someone else's problem!
