Niche Art
Rock roses and lavender in the tile depiction of Veronica wiping Jesus' face by local artist, António Palmira. This niche is one of several on the route that the processions take around the town; this one is across from the Adega Velha. We took our traditional Sunday lunch over there to warm up in the sun (very strange to need that at this stage of the year).
Going off to Sem Fim in a bit, picking Bengt up on the way; ten of us booked in, might be more when we get there.
(P.s. there were twelve.)
Gratefuls:
- sharing the peace during Mass
- towering white clouds against deep blue skies
- musical birds, cooing doves, flitting swallows
