ANZAC Service Day

ANZAC Day is the 25 April but as this was a weekday the services were held today, Sunday 28th April.
Started with picking up our grandson, Lennon, as he wanted to go for a ride on my bike. He is a superb pillion passenger, hardly know he is there he is so good at rolling with the bike whichever way it goes.
Arrived at the Gloucester War Memorial for wreath laying by the Right Worshipful Mayor of Gloucester and the RBL City Branch Chairman.
Included in this memorial was the anniversaries of the Battle of Imjin River and the Battle of Katia.

After this ceremony two of us rode (3 with Lennon of course) to Leighterton village where we attend a service of remembrance for ANZAC Day and the 24 Australian Flying Corps personnel that died, mostly in flying training accidents.
Very moving service especially when children, from the local primary school, lay sprigs of Rosemary on each grave as the names are read out.
It stayed dry, despite a few rumbles of thunder towards the end of the service.
Photos are from both locations.
