.... it's a helluva long way down!

Sadly one candidate had to drop out today, very ill overnight, shame. 
In extras you can see three new Lowland Leaders still laughing on this mornings yuckfest and later, when it brightened, having a little 'out of remit' adventure. Three really strong passes, so, with a discussion of next steps happening we detoured to look at some the sort of terrain the next potential qualification (Hill & Moorland Leader) would offer.
As ever it's humbling to be with people at the start of their journey. All three are teachers wanting to add outdoors (some DofE, some wellbeing walks, some just getting outside). All of them paid for the course themselves. Two of them work in an awfully deprived area. Only one of them is getting time in lieu. We walked nearly 18km each day, being assessed. All three are back at work tomorrow.

Not all heroes wear capes....though they often wear waterproofs.
