Day 10 Camino Logroño to Navarrete (14km)

A shorter walk today and one tinged with sadness as we were losing one of our 3 original pilgrims. Piers was finishing his Camino and returning home via Madrid. He has been with us from the start of our journey but had always planned to stay until we reached Logroño and then depart. This wasn’t, I hasten to add,, because he got fed up with John and myself or that he could no longer tolerate the smell (bad as that may be!) We are down to two pilgrims now and time will tell if both John and I make it. Legs feeling ok. Spirits relatively high. Everything to play for. Tomorrow, we resume with a more respectable 20 or so walk and see what the Camino brings…
