Impromptu
Bit longer dipping this morning. 3mins 30secs at 11° really set me up for the day. Washing out on the line first thing and a bit of hoovering before going out to meet Anna at Loubees. Heather was working so we had a little chat before A arrived. We had a great catch up. Its been too long. Her eldest is just about to take his GCSEs too. He felt the loss of his father, the greatest of the two boys, being very much like him. He seems to be in a good place at the moment, which is great to hear. We spent a lot of time together with them after David passed and MrK was great with him and encouraged him with his love of all sport.
We said our goodbyes and and promised not to leave it so long next time.
I walked into town to buy a birthday card and pressie and bumped into Mrs P who retired from school a couple of years ago. Quick catch up and lots of hugs, then I decided to walk home through the park. It was lovely in the sun, though still thick coat needed. I then bumped into Alison so we walked a bit then had a coffee outside the cafe in the park. She's struggling with the loss of her mum and how the hospital went against her wishes. She feels she let her mum down. Tragic. We talked for a couple of hours before seeing Heather taking Amber for a walk. She told Amber to find me and she came scampering over. We all walked together for a while, admiring the new willow sculptures and before I knew, it was 6pm and I hadn't been home since 11.15!!
Quickly made tea for us all before meeting Ali again to try our first mindful dancing session in the local church hall. We won't be going back, but it certainly gave us a laugh, leaving early after an hour of Ibiza/Indian mash up tunes, with people flinging themselves around the room with flashing, colured, lighting with no inhibitions. When they started making animal noices we took our cue and left, bursting into laughter once out on the street. We nipped into the UB for a large glass of wine and laughed about our 'church rave'! We talked about music and destinations to visit before finally walking home, still giggling! I've certainly had fun today.
