Bridge No 8 (Park Bridge)
A wet morning, turned into a pleasant afternoon so we took a walk along the Shropshire Union Canal from Brewood. There were signs up warning that the towpath was closed and impassable due to the sandstone bedrock having come away. We persisted along the path and when we got to the area of concern it was possible to get past with care. I imagine the canal and rivers trust were covering their backs because of health and safety.
I took the full spectrum camera with me to capture some infrared images in the sunshine, though it did cloud over again after a while. This is just past the damaged area of footpath before the canal comes out of cutting. The extra shows how the footpath has been fissured by the sandstone coming away, probably as a result of all of the rain we've been having.
