Flowering Dogwood …

… near our back door, drenched in the generous early afternoon sun.  We had just bid farewell to our niece L, who had spent the night visiting from New York City.  She was leaving to drive back.

We had a really delightful visit, especially since we had not seen her for quite some time. Her husband was unfortunately not able to join her, but they both hope to come later in the spring.
