After surgery

I am sorry that I have not been able to comment on any blips over the last couple of days as it has been pretty manic here!
I have spent the last 25 hours in the hospital with my son who injured himself at an out of season rugby training camp.
At 19:00 Last night he had to go under a general anaesthetic to have 55 stitches in his leg!

The wound was 20 cm long by 10 cm wide by 5 cm deep. There was no bone, muscle or ligament damage so there should be no lasting damage.

We have just been informed that he will have to spend the next three days in hospital as that is how long he will be on the intravenous antibiotics.

He is slightly disappointed that his summer is going to be spent convalescing!
