Bathing

I looked out of the window and 4 of our resident woodpigeons were in sight, 3 of them in the 2 birdbaths. Before they went I'd got my ISO up to 1,000 to bring my speed down to 1/650th but still not fast enough to "freeze" the wings.

How do they keep their head and tail still while moving their wings so rapidly?

Busy packing, we're off to Edinburgh tonight as soon as I get out of the church PCC AGM.

Remembering that today our Dear Mate passed away on our boat trip two years ago.
