Wills' Ceiling
The fan-vaulted ceiling of the University of Bristol's Wills Memorial Building, this is the entrance hall, below the main gothic tower that dominates the top of Park Street, to the left and right in this shot are the handrails of the stone stairs rising to the Great Hall.
It's a lovely bit of masonry, but architecturally it feels like something of a fake, or a throwback at least: it was built in the 1920s, but styled as some kind of late medieval Oxbridge dreaming spire. Nice though.
