Brake Shoe(s) - there is one on the other side too!!

The brake shoes on my old trusted mountain bike.

These days it's hard to buy a decent bike without disc brakes, but back in the day, when I first got this bike, these ones were high end state of the art.

I prefer to call them retro, rather than old!!!
