HOSTA plantaganea: August Lily
Also called SCENTED HOSTA, this shade loving herbaceous perennial,
with trumpet shaped white flowers, is often found in tropical gardens,
under trees. It seems early for a Hosta to be blooming, but
Climate Change has changed everything.
The poet, William Blake has opinion:
"The modest rose puts forth a thorn,
The humble sheep a threat'ning horn
While the LILY WHITE shall in love delight,
Nor a thorn nor a threat stain her beauty bright."
