Late Spider Orchid

These are my favourite mini wild orchids. Apparently the late spider orchid is pollinated solely by sexual deception involving insects, which means the flower is a much rarer sight than bee orchids which self pollinate.


Looks like you might get a series of the orchids from our village, I have just tested positive for covid for the first time. I am definitely out of oumph! No up the mountain shots for a while!
