Chimney Field
What a lovely day! After a morning of jobs and getting ready for our trip, I asked friend Rickie if she fancied a walk to the next village so I could take out some cash for the taxi (couldn't believe the cost of a taxi to the airport!) and happily she said yes so sunshine, outdoors, catch up, cuppas at the Community Centre and all was well with the World. Well, apart from the Police helicopter flying up and down above the beck. We managed to avoid being arrested and enjoyed the springy lambs in the fields on our way home.
My blip is of the chimney in Chimney Field. In Victorian times there was a large mill in the valley below, which is now filled with a park village. Folks came from afar in charabancs to enjoy the local walks, take tea in the tearoom and dance in the tea dances. Sadly, the mill was the victim of a fire and the chimney up here on the hill is the only remaining sign of its existence.
