Lancaster and Coast
Today we first drove up to Lancaster and had a wander around Willamson Park. At the centre of the park is this building, built by a wealthy landowner in the early 1900s in memory of his wife and family. We climbed to the top and got views over Lancaster from the balcony, but we couldn't get into the room at the top.
We also visited their Butterfly House and small zoo, where they had guinea pigs, marmosets and meerkats (first extra).
After some sausage rolls for lunch we drove into Morecambe and had a walk along the sea front and out along the breakwater. The cafe at the end of the breakwater served us tea and a very yummy orange cake. The second extra was taken of one of the shops on the sea front.
To round out the day we drove out to see Plover Scar lighthouse and had a nice walk out along the sea front to Cockersand Abbey.
