The Homestead

Our home, taken from the road below on my way back from most of a morning spent in the library, applying for a social security number, so I can then apply for the equivalent of an EHIC (giving me free health insurance in Europe).

It's been a cold, rainy, windy day - so strange.

Gratefuls:
- a fun online English class with my rambunctious lot, whose homework had been to write a haiku in English, some good ones; here was mine, from Sunday afternoon:
     Late light on white walls -
     Alentejo afternoon;
     Storks settle on nests.
- arranging a Blip meet in northern Spain, watch this space!
- buying Mouranense olive oil to take back with us, from the Co-op, for the first time, and good local wine
