First sighting
My daughter's area of the province enjoys a wider variety of birds than we do where I live, so it is always a treat to watch the action at her feeders...
I was lucky this morning - the first bluebird had arrived and was checking out one of her birdhouses! And the word was also out that the first orioles and rose-breasted grosbeaks had been spotted nearby, so my daughter immediately got out some oranges and loaded up a couple of feeders for them.
Unfortunately, I had to leave to go home and, of course, shortly after I left, both an oriole and a grosbeak had arrived at her house and had found the feast waiting for them!
Timing is everything!
