Grey Wagtail #51
I had an early morning birding session in search of an elusive yellow wagtail and ended up with a grey one instead.
I did see a yellow one, so my objective was achieved, but it was way too far away for a shot.
Instead I spent an hour trying to get a reasonable shot of one of the other wagtails feeding instead. There were a pair of grey wagtails and a pair of pied wagtails, all collecting flies for their young presumably. I'm quite happy with this one, even if it is heavily cropped.
On the way home, I popped over to Carter's bridge on the canal to check on the warbler situation. They were all about but not showing particularly well, so I will go back another day as I was short on time.
A spot more gardening this afternoon and some jobs to complete before yet another short break away at the weekend.
