HOW CAN IT BE 1ST MAY ALREADY?

I was thinking this morning that because the weather hasn't been that good, and still sometimes feels like March, it can't possibly be the 1st May already!

I knew that I had a free day today – with just a couple of friends coming round for coffee – which spurred me on to do some Domestic Goddess work in our conservatory.  It’s good to have visitors occasionally because it does make me do some DG chores - which is no bad thing.

After a good morning “chewing over the fat” as the expression goes, our friend, Louise, stayed for a simple lunch, so we enjoyed chatting again.  

After lunch, I told both Mr. HCB and Louise that I had a plan!  Mr HCB's immediate response was, “Oh no!"  I think he was a bit concerned about this "plan", but when I told him I was going to put on some "lippy ", he guessed what my plan was.  

I didn't have anything in mind for my Blip today, so thought it could be a selfie with all of us in  the garden. Having just given them both a decent lunch, I think they felt they couldn't say no! 

So here we are, in the garden, all smiling in the top shot and then pulling funny faces in the bottom shot.  Worse than children really - because I remember when I used to take my camera to church and wanted to take a shot of the children, they would only let me take a decent shot after I had taken one with them pulling funny faces!  

Mind you, again just like children, I did have to let both Louise and Mr. HCB see the funny face shot so that they could agree it for use in my Blip.

We’ve had a lovely time together and Louise has now left, so I daresay, having worked in the garden all morning, Mr. HCB will appreciate watching some cricket on the television.  

It was quite sunny this morning and very warm in our conservatory, but has now turned quite dull and grey - and even a bit chilly - but I think I may go out for a walk - and leave Mr. HCB in peace to watch the cricket!  We go on holiday in just over a week, so hope the weather bucks up before then!
