York

I was up at 5 and picked up my friend at 6:15, drove to Southfields and made our way to Kings Cross to catch our train to York.  This was the postponed trip from the beginning of March.

9:50 arrived in York
Followed by breakfast in The Ivy (other places were busy).
We then decided to drop our overnight bags off at our accommodation just the other side of the railway line but a bit of a trek to walk round to it.
Caught bus back into town.
Time to explore the lanes and shops.
Stopped in a little tea shop for a rest and cuppa.
More walking around (we knew the forecast for tomorrow was rain so we made the most of being outside).
A lovely meal and bottle of wine in an Italian restaurant.
Bus back to our Airbnb house.
TV but only lasted to about 9:30 when we decided to call it a night, both exhausted.
