Footplate of 75008, Swiftsure

I’m ending the day on a late turn at Tenterden signalbox for the first of the evening fish and chip specials. Sat in the box in the gloaming (extra) waiting for the return of the train from Bodiam. In fact I’ve just been offered the train from Rolvenden. Could be another half hour yet.

What a lovely day, warmest this year. I did some work at the allotment while Susan was out walking and having coffee with one of her friends. I walked this afternoon while Susan gardened.

It’s been a busy week as we continue to tie up all the ends relating to Doreen as well as plan and get things together for the long trip from Kent to the Orkneys.
