Mr B deems the title too schmaltzy, but it’s what I have. 24th wedding anniversary today, so I took the afternoon off and we lunched long, chatted about house stuff upstairs (curtain related), watched The Big Sleep, dined big, and now there is still all that wine to finish.

Let’s gloss over Mr B’s astonishment at my just assuming all these years that the Simon & Garfunkel 7 o’clock news/Silent Night song was a news summary from one day. Seems so obvious now when I think about it.

At some point I will have to pack for my 5 am departure…
