In the Botanics
Acrisione cymosa blooming enthusiastically.
There was thick mist in the morning, which lifted to grey overcast with a hint of sunshine in mid afternoon; 12C high so back to fleecy jackets. Out to the Botanics again. Tea at the Inverleith House cafe where we shared a cheese scone with a robin and a pigeon. No marauding gulls this time, though a pair of magpies were looking to see what they could get; for all that they are bold, they aren't as bold as the gulls.
The gardens are looking splendid; so many shades of spring greens coming out. The new leaves on the beech trees are particularly lovely.
(Example in extra).
Back by the Water of Leith where there was a heron fishing, then up Dundas Street.
