My poor house

Is having a chimney extraction. There was some discussion about having an implant, which would look better cosmetically, but as there is no fireplace in the back rooms and there will never be anything for the chimney to do, we went for removal. The gap will be nicely tidied up so it seems like a chimney was never there.
The reason: after my bedroom was decorated in January, the rain got in through some decay in the very old chimney and my lovely white ceiling and lavender walls turned black and brown:-( So it needs doing again - but only one side.
