Green (obviously!)

For the past week or so I have been watching the beech trees outside the kitchen window - noticing that a few old leaves survived the winter and hung on, seeing the slender buds appear, swell and finally open up as the scales peeled away.

Then suddenly, probably after the sunshine yesterday, there are masses of brand new bright green leaves. And what a green - glorious. 


Coincidently green is the next colour on my colour wheel!!
