What kind of a person
arranges to meet a client at short notice at a community centre, on the day of a local election? Of course it was being used as a oolling station! In my mind it's still primary schools that are being used, though in my years in Stroud I've mainly voted at the Trinity rooms. I didn't need to blip it today because I've blipped it many times, especially on election days.
Anyhow, the client and I went somewhere else for our chat, and she was ok with that. Mostly the day was quite long because I was working on my own. This will soon become the new normal, I think.
Steve is still working at a polling station in Gloucester. It's a sixteen hour day for him at least, plus travel time.
