Grim Outlook . . .
There was a time when Toronto developers just razed old buildings when they wanted to build their monstrous tower blocks. Not any more. The new 60-storey Massey Towers condo development will rise above the facade of the Canadian Bank of Commerce erected in Yonge Street in 1909, which will become the new building's lobby.
Oh dear, Toronto has more high rise developments than anywhere else in north America, do we really need to emasculate our heritage to build more? Seems the answer is "Why Not?"
