A damp start was forecast but it was dry when I woke and stayed that way. I’d decided to go shopping in Kendal for food and other items . . . four shops to visit. After waiting for ages in a queue at the checkout in Halfords the cashier asked for an email address to send a receipt. I said I didn’t want a receipt emailed. Guess it’s a ploy to get people on their mailing list.
Worn out when I got home but ventured out after lunch. Not in the mood for photos and hopped on a bus to Windermere. Went to the bank for money from the cash machine then found the courage to go inside with a query about online banking. The member of staff was very helpful and came around from behind the counter, showed me that I could do more using the app on my phone than I knew about and altered a few settings to suit my needs.
Stopped at the Crafty Baa for a quick drink blip. Heading to the bus stop the neighbour who brings my Thursday cake was driving past and stopped to give me a lift home.
