Owl Crag, with Jan and Rusty
It was sunny and beautifully warm once again today. Jan suggested we take a walk up Owl Crag with Rusty so after a late breakfast off we went. We took a coffee and some biscuits with us and had a bit of a picnic at the hut on the top. As we were getting ready to go we joked about wearing shorts but when we got to the top I realised that would have been fine.
It's a real time of contrasts just now. In the picture you can still see the ice on the lake, and there was a stretch of snow-covered path on the way here, but we were in t-shirts all day.
Once home again we sat outside on the deck for a cup of tea. Eventually it was time for some work and I went up the ladder to carry on cleaning the mould and lichen from the shaded side of the house.
And that's pretty much all I did today!
I didn't even take the blip photo, that credit goes to HarlingDarling Jan!
We've been listening to election news from the UK and in general things are the going in a direction we like and appreciate, though it wasn't all good news, as Jan's brother Dave lost his seat.
How could a Labour councillor of 37 years standing lose, in this of all elections? It's complicated but it involves independent candidates picking up the Moslem vote protesting over Starmer's comments about Gaza. But that is democracy in action!
