Kitchenware
A dazzling array of pots, pails and urns was to be found here at Likuyu Sekamaganga. This range helps provide sustenance to the hundreds of students and teachers who live deep in the miombo woodland to learn and teach conservation-related courses. It’s a very impressive and tranquil setup, a statement which doesn’t gloss over the complicated logistics of running such an operation in a remote location. We are accompanying some project supporters on a rapid tour of the landscape so are making stops at certain places. We had some good meetings today with the principal of Likuyu Sekamaganga and some government rangers stationed nearby at the southern end of Tanzania’s largest national park. In this area the forest and all that sails within her really does stretch endlessly in all directions, interrupted only by the occasional impossibly remote community.
