Back to my roots
I did plan to swim but when I got up I still didn't feel 100% so went back to bed and read. Felt quite decadent. I finished 'How They Broke Britain' and was finishing the chapter on Boris as some Tory, commenting on the election results, was saying the solution was to bring him back.
Another cost, chilly day as I packed the car to go north. Still can't get v the v Behistun to use motorways. Stopped at Peggy Scott's and I would have been on time but for the sat nav and Aberdeen's parking machine and chosen provider. But only 5: mins late. The cloud had cleared and it was a beautiful, if still chilly afternoon. The cherry blossom was beautiful.
J and I had a great catch up over afternoon tea and then I saved myself a trip to Newcraighall by going in past DFS in Kittybrewster. I think I may have found chairs! I haven't v driven through Aberdeen for years. Certainly over 6. Much new building in the town..
Went into Kintore for a look at the Rough graves. Couldn't find Margaret's, my 2 x gt grandmother, sun was in my eyes but did see the one of the Henderson cousin who built our Inverurie house. Kintore Townhouse looked good in the evening sun.
Then to the Port for chat and food and Gardeners' World. The cough is less but now I have a throat!
