Thursday: Happy July 4th!

First of all, a very happy July 4th to my American pals!

And here is an evening reception to mark July 4th! The weather was perfect, as were the marching Marines.

So, the lady in the front with the red handbag is my next door neighbour. The guy at the back on the left with the dark suit and the glasses is the Finnish Ambassador. Oh, and the lady with the fiery red hair works in the President's Office.

I was planning to just stay for 45 minutes but ended up being there 2 hours. My legs were really hurting by the end but, like last year, they had mini-burgers and Samuel Adams beer so I am happy enough.
