Tortoiseshell

Went to allotment and sowed petits pois - put twiggy sticks to frustrate the fat bastards, but forgot to put down fleece which I've done in previous years to frustate the mice who dig up the germinating peas. Hey ho, I've got more seed, so shall just have to fill in the inevitable gaps.

Went to a 50th birthday do in Leith Arches in the evening - an Inchcolm connection. There was a wee ceilidh, but we didn't dance. Nice beer though - Camden IPA? Had a jolly blether with V & I.

Had put off blipping in case I got a pic of the evening's shenanigans, but it was too dark - so all I have is a small tortoiseshell enjoying one of the dandelion flowers that I left on purpose (aye, right) for the early pollinators.
