Preparing for Elfstedentocht

I have been asked as a substitute to join a rowing team aiming to complete the 210 km rowing Elfstedentocht next weekend. The start of this marathon is on Friday 8 pm and you need to complete the tour within 24 hours. So you have to row through the night. Normally we are not allowed to row in the dark due to the commercial shipping, but tonight we had an exception and rowed between 9.30 and 11 pm. The boats were specially kitted out with lights.
