Yet more egrets

The weather promised to be misty first thing, with sunshine later, so potentially some quite interesting lighting conditions first thing.

I swing past the cattle egrets on my way and was pleased to get this shot of a stand off between a cattle egret and a little egret.  Round one went to the cattle egret, but the little egret (which is actually the slightly bigger bird) won round two. The cattle egret wisely decided to give round three a miss and went to a quieter part of the field.
