Sunny Saturday!

What a wonderful surprise this morning, the sun appeared, and other than a bit of cloud build up around lunch time, which cleared it has been a beautiful day here.

So bedding stripped washed and out on the line, along with a general  load.. By lunch time all was dry. So decided after lunch to grab my camera and take a drive over to the Braunton area as I hadn't been over there for a while.

Traffic wasn't bad concidering it is a bank holiday weekend, so an easy run over there. The first surprise was another new housing estate is being built across the road from RAF Chivenor. They appear to be laying the ground works at the moment. 

I decided to drive along Velator Road, past the toll road junction for another half mile, and backed into a safe place as the usual swan feeding spot was already being occupied. Took a walk along the road towards her as a couple of the swans had begun to move towards me.  as you can see in the image the water is covered in pond weed. Took several images, before heading back towards the river. such a lovely day.
