Smiles in the sunshine

Luke and Meriel arrived last night in time for supper, and Adam and Anna came later after we had gone to bed. This morning the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day, so after breakfast we all set off on a long walk through two sets of woods as I wanted to show them the bluebells and wild garlic. It was just under 12km and we got back home in time to make lunch. This photo was taken on the walk.

Being sunny and good weather we had our first BBQ of the year, hamburgers for lunch followed by watermelon. We have spent the afternoon relaxing and tonight we are walking to our local pub for dinner, it is more posh dining than pub food and the food is always excellent there.

Gavin and I spent ages looking for new dining chairs on the internet, we saw something we liked but are thinking about it. We are limited in our choice due to our kitchen table, the seat height cannot be too high and neither can the backrests be high as we don't want the chairs to cut off the room. Usually John Lewis would be a good option but they have nothing suitable.

It has been lovely spending the day with them. Fingers crossed it does not rain tomorrow as we have golf booked.
