Ladybird

Rose and I went out to do some chores after dropping Dave at bowls and then went for a coffee.  Sitting outside in the shade - it is very hot here even though it is autumn -  this wee ladybird dropped in to enjoy a drop of liquid!
We had been invited to a braai (barbecue) at one of Rose and Dave's sons so made a huge salad to take with us and enjoyed a lovely few hours in their garden, enjoying a steak roll and salad, followed by frozen yoghurt, brownies or chocolate cake! Delicious.
Back home their other son dropped in for a chat and beer so all in all. A very sociable day.
Mulligan went for a quick walk around the block before dark and is now sleeping happily on his bed!
There are many wonderful strelitzia in this garden (see extra) - great to see as there isn't much other colour at this time of year.
