Ok not strictly taken by me, but t'other half, but couldn't not use as today's blip effort.

On the one hand it's good to see 'scarface mcboggle eye' (Winston!?! for goodness sake) looking a lot better than when we found him almost 2 weeks ago. Hopefully he'll also find a loving home soon too cos he really is a lovely little hound.

However, as has always been my experience with the 'press' (sounds ominous/ intriguing, really isn't) they never get the facts right. He was actually found on a Saturday not Friday and the whole article makes it sound like the RSPCA were actually involved. In fact 2 phone calls asking them what we should do with him and then the vet calling them to report it only to find they continued to be uninterested is more like the truth. Obviously they have got involved much later and their funding obviously goes on PR and rehoming campaigns. Which is fine but there is nothing Rescue like, despite the name these days. Clearly credit needs to go to the vet and the kennels instead.
