Gazing out to Sherkin

OMG - a mighty day - the dizzying heights of 16C and wall to wall sunshine! Will wanted to go to Baltimore so off we went, parking in the village and walking out to the Beacon - a guide for shipping. It was looking marvellous everywhere. We mused on it being a good place to spot whales and Will channelled his inner something or other and suddenly we spied three basking sharks!! How thrilling! He was ecstatic. We gazed for a while then did the big loop, almost tempted by the water!  A late lunch of toasted sandwiches followed by the most colossal 99 hit the spot - the queue for ice creams was way out of the shop! 
We stopped off at Lough Hyne on the way home and there were swimmers, walkers, paddleboarders and all sorts going on.

Now home and Himself is making a frittata and soon we shall ring Joe and Esme - it's already Joe's birthday (5th May) in New Zealand!
