Walking Day

We are walking 'The Pentland Way' across two days. We are walking one day in May, and the second day in June. 
Today we walked from Dunsyre to Carlops, along the low level section of the walk. It was very beautiful with soft rolling countryside, and plenty of wildlife. We were most excited to see sand martins nesting in a sandy river bank, this was a new experience for us all. We had a picnic lunch at West Water Reservoir which was very pleasant.
After we had got our cars back to the right places, we had refreshments at our friends house in West Linton. A good day all round.
