Bluebells

Met up with a friend today and we went to Hinton Ampner for the day. We didn’t set foot in the house but instead opted for a four mile walk around the estate which included some beautiful bluebell woods. Although they were starting to be past their best, the sheer number was astounding - every corner we went around gave another lovely vista. So a beautiful walk, and the sun was out for a change! Had to queue a long time for some lunch when we’d finished the walk but it was worth it - a savoury cheese tea (cheese scone, cheese and onion marmalade) which was very tasty. Fell asleep on the sofa when I got home - think the walk and the sun had tired me out!
