Lifted the dilapidating (technically, delaminating) carpet from the function room, a usable part of which is off to Bristol to provide a temporary cover for a floor for MC&I.

On the 'while I have access' basis I thought I'd run the surround sound speaker cables under the floor, especially as most of the relevant corners have pre-lifted floorboards.  Fishing the cables from one end to another proved a challenge.

Yet another servant bell wire 'corner' came to light.  This one joining the pull on the righthand side of the fireplace (above here) to the left hand side one.  Frustratingly, the conduit that conducted this wire through the fireplace wasn't quite up to taking the speaker cable.  That would have been far too convenient.
