fluffy stuff

In all the time I have been visiting Burbage moor (since I was a child) I have never seen this cotton fluff stuff before. I am sure someone can tell me what plant it is. It came out a few weeks ago and stretched far over the moor in amongst the heather. I have been trying to get a shoot out here since I first noticed it and tonight Charlotte and I ventured out to get the shot.

The first thing we found is that it likes to grow in marsh like earth. Luckily Charlotte was wearing her new waterproof riding boots... I, sadly was not. I tried to stay in one spot whilst Charlotte moved herself and the light around too. Needless to say we had a giggle, and a lovely evening. I am sure that the fluff will have gone in a week so i am SO glad we managed to capture it before it is gone.
